Auto Disable Syringes

Auto-disable syringes make sure that the syringe is used only once, thus eliminating any chances of infection due to secondary contamination. Auto disable syringe works with special mechanism designed to ensure single usage. Some of these mechanisms include the locking of the Plunger or needle if second use is attempted. The Auto-Disable or AD syringe is regarded as the safest syringe for use in mass immunization programmes by the World Health Organization (WHO). It gets automatically locked after injection, ruling out chances of reuse and thereby preventing the transmission of pathogens between patients.
